Roger Staubach is a former American football quarterback who played in the NFL from 1969 to 1979. He was born on February 5, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and played college football at the United States Naval Academy. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the 10th round of the 1964 NFL Draft, but he served in the United States Navy for four years before joining the team in 1969. He played for the Dallas Cowboys for 11 seasons.
