John Brodie

ohn Brodie is a former American football quarterback who played in the NFL from 1957 to 1973. He was born on June 11, 1935, in Menlo Park, California, and played college football at Stanford University. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 1957 NFL Draft and played for the team from 1957 to 1973. Brodie is best known for his time with the 49ers, where he led the team to three consecutive NFC West championships and was named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player in 1970. He was a three-time Pro Bowler and is considered one of the greatest quarterbacks in 49ers history. After retiring from football, Brodie became a successful businessman and remains involved in the NFL community.
